Behind the Scenes: How We Manufacture in Mumbai

Our unit in Sion-Dharavi, Mumbai has produced belts for twenty years. Every strap passes through the same five stages.

## 1. Cutting

Rolls are cut to width on a clicker press so every strap holds the same profile.

## 2. Skiving and edging

Edges are thinned and finished so the strap sits flat through the loops and does not curl at the tip.

## 3. Stitching

Edge stitching is run at a fixed gauge. It is the detail we are judged on, so it is checked on every piece.

## 4. Hardware fitting

Buckles are set and riveted, then pull-tested at the fold — the point that fails first on a poorly made belt.

## 5. Inspection

Each belt is checked for hole spacing, buckle action and finish before it is packed.
